Who exactly am I?

I'm a junior-high teacher who is trying to remember to regularly make creative space in my life for things unrelated to school. I've been teaching for 10 years now, so it's going to be a challenge!

Over the years, I have tried my hand at knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing, cross-stitch, pottery, photography, découpage, scrapbooking, card making, and a plethora of DIY projects involving primer, paint, and even my drill. Every time September comes around, these things take a back seat. And I mean the very back seat of the longest train you can imagine.  I tend to just forget all of this and plunge back into my work.

I've decided that for my own sanity, creativity must be a regular part of my life. I think my students will benefit from my foray into the under-discovered land of my right brain.

I'm going to try to blog about this adventure so that one day, I can look back and remember all the beautiful things that I will have made. (Ha!)
